Vanlife Work

I live dangerously; I drive accordingly.

In 2014, I graduated with a juris doctor degree from New York Law School. Although I enjoyed the learning experience, I quickly realized practicing law was not a good fit for me. I moved from Brooklyn back to Alabama and started created a life I could see myself living.

I am currently residing in good ole Alabama with my trusty sidekick Siku (pronounced: see - koo). Siku is a wriggling ball of energy barely contained in the body of a miniature Australian Shepard. He loves life but is scared of just about everything; we're working on that. I think he would walk through fire as long as I was there with him.

I am a storyteller at heart, so it made sense to pursue writing an audiobook narration. As a professional content writer, I mostly write compelling content for companies in the outdoor industry. I focus on small businesses interested in making an impact beyond themselves. As an audiobook narrator, I love helping authors breath life into their work. There is something intimate about having someone read to you. I work with authors to create an auditory experience for listeners that transports them into the very pages of the book.

Beyond that, Siku and I are always seeking out adventure. Our home is the great outdoors. Although we may lay our heads on soft pillows in the comfort of our little van Wendy, we dream of rivers and mountains and trees, of blue skies and fluffy skies. In a past life, I was a skydive for eight-ish years, but I've been an outdoor enthusiast my whole life. But on cold rainy days, I don't mind curling up in a pile of blankets with my pup, a warm cup of coffee, and a good book.

This is our story.
